Testing my reaction time - by Conor
Today we got a sheet of paper. We had to fold the sheet the together.
There were numbers up along the side ranging from 0.10 to 0.25. Each one
of these numbers was representing 100 th of a second.
One person stood on a chair dropping the paper with blue-tack on the end of it. We did this four times.
CATCH 1=0.22 secs ALTOGETHER =0.68 secs
CATCH 2=0.18 secs CATCH 4=0.18 secs
CATCH 3=.10 secs
Average Reaction Time = 0.17 secs.
Today we also made rockets. We used balloons cello-tape and straws. We went outside and let them off to see would they go.
We had clothes pegs on the end of them to keep the air in. We taped the straw to the balloon to provide direction when the peg was removed. It didn’t really work.
They might not have worked would be the celotape could
have been on too tight or they might have been too big. Also weather conditions may have caused problems.
